Session Objectives:

  • Introduce the BIPOC Collective to the NOM community
  • Highlight the importance of BIPOC led maker spaces in communities
  • Share how others can get involved/support the Collective

Session Description:
Join a group of BIPOC technologists, educators, and thought leaders as they highlight the work of BIPOC led makerspaces, and discuss how making and technology can lead to social and economic justice in communities.

Also learn how their new collective is charting a path for BIPOC leaders and allies to increase and help sustain the number of BIPOC makers and makerspaces, and how you can get involved as a BIPOC maker or ally.
