I'm an advisor to the board at Red Mountain Makers, Birmingham Alabama's nonprofit makerspace. My major focus over the past two years is woodturning. I bought a lathe in June of 2018 and put it at RMM, and we have several of us turning regularly (we're up to three lathes) and we use pen turning as an introductory activity for visitors.
